Going Inactive

Unfortunately my Counterstrike Source no longer works meaning I'll be indefinitely inactive. I've tried validating the steam files, deleting ClientRegistry.blob and even reinstalling Steam and Counterstrike Source however that has had no effect. Whenever I join a server after the first two to three seconds my ping shoots up to a constant value and I am unable to join teams. I've ruled out my isp as pinging and running a tracert to servers all come back ok.
I've had this problem in the past but a reinstall fixed it. The only option left to me is to format and I'm not entirely sure it will solve the problem. However I have too much work going on at the moment and I have neither the time nor the will to format.
Even with me being active the team has struggled to get a full team out to practise, so this will drive the other lads to recruit one or two players. If you're interested you can apply through the website, you never know ;)
